H.E. Bailey Turnpike
The H.E. Bailey Turnpike project from mile post 99.0 to 107.0 in Grady and McClain Counties for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) consisted of a preliminary engineering report and development of construction plans for the reconstruction of approximately 8 miles of the turnpike, including driving lanes, shoulders, stormwater drainage structures and safety devices.
The engineering report evaluated the existing conditions of the facility, including pavement condition, typical section dimensions, existing geometric layout, bridges, and overall traffic operations and provided comprehensive recommendations for improvements in all appropriate areas. The recommended pavement section included 10” dowel-jointed P.C. pavement on top of 4” cement-treated base with stabilized subgrade.
OTA successfully awarded the project for approximately $17M.
